Requirements
Harlequin and Babydoll sheep require a high standard of care to meet their needs.
Every prospective buyer must meet the following requirements:
• a minimum of two sheep for companionship
• an established relationship with large animal veterinarian to take care of medical needs including vaccinations
• a minimum of 1 acre for every 5 ewes with appropriate shelter (barn, lean-to, etc.)
• a guardian animal for protection
All of our Harlequin sheep are registered with the Harlequin Sheep Society. Our Babydoll sheep are registered with the Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep Society and NABSSAR. If you are interested in adding to your flock, click the button below.
Why do we have these requirements?
Harlequin and Babydoll sheep are a big commitment. Our requirements are based on widely accepted standards within the community. We continue to educate ourselves by staying up to date with best practices. Jon is a licensed veterinarian and attends continuing education (CE) meetings, where he learns about the most current research on sheep and other livestock.
