It's nice to meet you!
Our names are Jon and Cindy Romines, and we started this farm in 2023 after moving from Memphis, Tennessee. McKenzie is Cindy's hometown, and we knew it was the perfect place to have the farm that we always wanted.
We both love animals-- Jon is a retired veterinarian so we're used to having animals running around. If you are interested in getting started with Babydoll and Harlequin sheep or would like to grow your own flock, we would love to help you accomplish your goals. We hope to hear from you soon!
Our Farm
Located in McKenzie, Tennessee, our farm is home to our Babydoll and Harlequin sheep (as well as our chickens and Great Pyrenees, Blossom!).
The farm is 24-acres of pasture, woods, and a creek. We are very thankful to the local Amish community, who built the barn pictured above in 2022.
Babydoll and Harlequin sheep are a big commitment. They require companionship so a minimum of two sheep must be kept together. Also, a guardian animal (like Blossom) is required for protection. Proper nutrition takes the form of pasture/grasses in the spring, summer, and fall as well as supplementation with high-quality hay and small amounts of feed in the winter months.
